Araras Lodge is located in North Pantanal, and they have been working on two important projects to help the wildlife around the lodge. Serra dos Órgãos National Park is located in between the cities of Petrópolis and Teresópolis at Rio de Janeiro state. The park has already served as a hunting ground for Princess Isabel and was where the high society of Brazil would spent their vacation.
With its beautiful mountains and enchanted landscapes, this is one of the most beautiful parks in Brazil. From there, it is posible to see Guanabara Bay, Corcovado, Sugar Loaf and Pedra da Gávea. The trekking of Serra dos Órgãos is the most classic crossing in Brazil and a great challenge for those who venture through its mountains. Located in a region that is not so commom for tourists - located in Ubatuba, 260km from São Paulo and 45 km from Paraty - is a great option for those who are looking for a relaxing experience at the same time that they can have contact with the nature and contribute with the protection of the region, as well as collaborate with the sustainable development of the community.

Finally the most expected destination of the trip arrived: the Chapada Diamantina. Chapada Diamantina National Park, created in 1985 and a distant 420 km from Salvador, houses 1520 square meters of caves, giant canyons and the most beautiful and highest waterfalls in the country. But the relationship between Chapada Diamantina and tourism is fairly recent. In the 17th century the region was inhabited by Indians, then invaded by blacks and Portugueses. During this year, the local economy became agriculture and the region gradually became populated by farms and small communities called 'quilombos'. When the gold period began, the gold-mining cycle lasted for almost a century, and later the diamond's extraction lasted twenty-six years.
